IMS03: Sustainability in Aviation – buzzword or guiding concept?

The future of civil aviation is sustainability. This does not only affect manufacturers, airlines or airports, but the entire value chain. The classic maxim ‘faster, further, higher’ defines itself today on the ‘economic, environmental and social responsibility’, which thus becomes the overall concept for the future of aviation as well as the public perception of a company.

Due to the impact on the environment and climate aviation is now widely subject to criticism. Aircraft noise, environmental pollution and harmful emissions are just some of the criticism fields that each organization has to deal with, which is active in today’s aviation. Therefore the goal must be to reconcile aviation through a sustainable management with the environment and the people. For this the acceptance of social responsibility is essential. A company that refuses this insight, it is likely to have great difficulties in the future to successfully hold its ground in the public as well as the market.

But how should a company align or behave, if it chose to go the path towards a future of sustainability?

What are objectives, what are strategies and guidelines available and how can these be –when necessary-be anchored in the own corporate culture? What measures must be taken to successfully start the necessary sustainability process?

And: How expensive is sustainable actually or has it even the chance to reduce costs and secure competitive advantages?

Questions like these, we would like to discuss with you or with executives of your house in a free information session. Benefit from the expert knowledge on the subjects ‘professional sustainability management’ and ‘benefit of sustainability for aviation companies’.

We would be pleased to welcome you or a representative of your house on September, 9th in the ‘Haus der Luft- und Raumfahrt ‘, 53175 Bonn, Godesberger Allee 70. Please understand that the number of participants is limited.
